ICCB-Longwood Screening Facility
Therapeutic Approaches: Biologics, Small Molecules, Biomarkers
Therapeutic Areas of Expertise: Cardiology, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Metabolic Disorders, Neurological Disorders, Oncology, Pain, Regenerative Medicine
Center/Program Highlights:The ICCB-Longwood Investigator Initiated Screening Program assists investigators carrying out high-throughput screens of chemical and functional genomics libraries to identify new tools for biological research. The screening facility is built around modular work stations, and assays are typically conducted in 384-well plates. There are over 500,000 compounds available for screening. siRNA libraries targeting human and mouse genomes, synthetic sgRNA libraries targeting the human 'druggable' genome for CRISPR knock out, as well as lncRNA and miRNA mimic/inhibitor libraries are also available. These libraries can be screened at the genome level, in focused subsets or as a custom-picked set. ICCB-L employs a staff-assisted screening model, in which investigators are provided with access to reagent libraries, training in the use of most equipment, as well as advice and guidance throughout the screening process. ICCB-L's expertise is in assay development, high throughput screening, and data analysis for large scale screens of both small molecule and siRNA libraries.
