Center/Program Highlights:

The UNMC Center for Drug Discovery brings together expertise in medicinal chemistry, DMPK and drug delivery on the UNMC campus. The Center aims to advance projects into later-stage research development of new drugs from our UNMC researchers and collaborators. We look to partner with other institutions and industrial partners to bring our vision to market.  The Center is working in a number of therapeutic areas, which include: Cancer, Infectious, Neurological, Metabolic and Ophthalmic diseases as well as Bone disorders, Pain, Psychiatric disorders and Rare diseases. In addition, the Center is researching new insecticides for mosquito control.  Ophthalmic and antimalarial drug candidates are in clinical trials.
