Center/Program Highlights:The UCSD Center for Drug Discovery Innovation combines the biomedical innovation of the Health Sciences Campus with the clinical research power of the Clinical and Translational Research Institute and the scientific and technical capabilities of the full campus, in order to foster the discovery of new therapeutics. The CDDI has particular strengths in marine natural products, through the Scripps Insitution of Oceanography; synthetic chemistry; computer-aided drug discovery, informatics and systems biology; drug disposition and delivery; and in therapeutic/biomedical areas including CNS, global health, cancer, metabolism, and cell signaling.
