The mission of the Institute for Structural Biology and Drug Discovery is to invent and develop, from the bench to the clinic, therapeutic agents capable of attacking disease states in the following four medical treatment areas:
- Blood and cardiovascular diseases
- Alzheimer's disease and disease of the aged
- Infectious diseases
- Cancer and related diseases such as AIDS The Institute has successfully developed several molecules that have reached clinical trials.
