Michigan High Throughput Screening Center
Therapeutic Approaches: Small Molecules
Therapeutic Areas of Expertise: Infectious Diseases, Metabolic Disorders, Neurological Disorders, Oncology
Center/Program Highlights:
The Michigan High Throughput Screening Center accelerates drug discovery projects through assay development expertise and high throughput screening technology. We support academic institutions, large pharmaceutical and small biotech companies. Collaborators bring targets to us and we implement screens. Our lab contains state-of-the-art robotic equipment. Our scientists are all pharmaceutical industry veterans. And we have a novel compound library that was developed by medicinal chemists and statisticians. The compounds in the library were cherry-picked from commercial collections for maximum chemical diversity and drug-like properties. We believe that hits identified in our screens are good starting points for medicinal chemistry and lead optimization. We are a not-for-profit lab, and operate on a fee-for-service basis. We have strategic partners who can accelerate medicinal chemistry, and in vivo characterization of active compounds.
