Center/Program Highlights:Built upon historical research strength within the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, members of the Warren Family Research Center for Drug Discovery and Development from across the campus are focused on the discovery and development of new therapeutic leads for the treatment of unmet clinical needs in cancer, infectious diseases including malaria, tuberculosis, and MRSA, stroke and Alzheimer's disease, and rare diseases such as Niemann-Pick Type C and NGly1 deficiency. This collaborative program brings together chemical and biological expertise and technologies through partnerships with researchers within the biomedical centers at the University of Notre Dame, including the Harper Cancer Institute, the Eck Institute for Global Health, the Center for Rare and Neglected Disease, and external partners, such as the Indiana CTSI, the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation, and the Grace Wilsey Foundation.
